Richmond-Delta Regional Heritage Fair
On, Friday, May 4th, 21 students from Divisions 5 (Mrs. Bains) & 6 (Mrs. Kumar) competed in the 10th Annual Richmond-Delta Regional Heritage Fair in Richmond. Over eighty students presented a variety of project displays that celebrate Canadian history and heritage. We are proud of all of our competitors.
In particular, we would like to recognize the following students for winning National and Provincial Awards at this year's fair! We would like to congratulate the following students:
Arianna Mytko winner of the BC Hydro Power Award for her project on BC artist Bill Reid. Geetanjli Sharma winner of the BCHFS Stellar Jay Award for her project on Karen Kain. Riley Carter winner of the BCHFS Stellar Jay Award for his project on Canadians in World War II. Arshpreet Mander winner of the Local Historian Award for her project on the Gulf of Georgia Cannery. Arishdeep Sandhar winner of the Historic Places Initiative Award for his project on the Gur Sikh Temple. Navreet Grewal winner of the Honourable Mention Award for her project on the Quebec Carnival.
